Australia scores its lowest first-innings ODI total at Wankhede in 21 years as India wins.

 At Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, India defeated Australia by five wickets in the opening ODI. In 35.4 overs, Australia was knocked out for 188 runs. In the previous 21 years, no side has scored less runs in the first inning of an ODI at the Wankhede Stadium. KL Rahul's score of 75* helped India reach the goal in 39.5 overs (91).
